John Frieda has a lovely new range which is perfect for hydrating dry winter hair. John Frieda has brought out a new full repair strength and restore range which is made up of a shampoo, a conditioner and a hair mask and I am pleased with the result. Over winter hair can often feel brittle and dry, especially when combined with the extra heat we have to apply to get dry hair in the cold weather. The products truly do leave your hair feeling nourished.
The formula makes use of inca inchi oil, which is rich in omega-3. Omega-3 is important for hair as it encourages hair growth and maximises hydration. The fatty acid reduces inflammation and nourishes the fair follicles, leaving your hair moisturised from the scalp preventing winter dryness and of course dandruff. Omega-3 promotes the natural production of scalp oil which then costs the hair strand and naturally transforms the hair from dry to hydrated.
Over winter we tend to make use of heat styling more often in the cold weather. Heat drys out our hair and this combined with the dry winter weather – our hair is left feeling dry, dull and often lifeless. Over the last 3 weeks I have made use of the full repair range and feel that my hair has more life than normal. I have long thick hair and although my tips feel dry at times with the mask, my ends feel far softer. Due to the high increase of extra oil production that the product promotes , my hair is a little greasier than normal but during winter, oil is your friend as it keeps the hair healthy and nourished. So you may have to wash your hair a little more often – of course it depends on your hair type.
If you are looking for a product that beats dryness this is a good product to turn too as it really works!
